Peggy, Bob, Lee, Aaron, Megan, Marty!

October 11 ~ Winter Storage

The canoes and paddle boats are in winter storage at Dow's Lake.
There is a short window of opportunity for this shot ...
after the boats have been put in storage, and before the lake is drained for skating.
Any yes, you have to have a calm day to capture the reflection!

October 10 ~ Butterfly Exhibit

Aaron enjoys a moment with a Butterfly at the annual Carlton University Butterfly Exhibit.

October 9 ~ Along the Canal

From the locks at Hogs Back, the church is visible in reflection.

October 8 ~ Busting Out

Two full boats of Busting Out ladies, preparing to compete in the World Championships,
in Sarasota in two weeks time.
I paddled as a guest, on a lovely October evening.
Thanks for the welcome, Friends!

Oct.7 ~ Leaves

A perfect Maple Leaf floats on the Rideau River.
The water background is almost purple.

Oct. 6 ~ Dashain!

This picture is of my Nepali friend, Apil,
enjoying the swings that are constructed as part of the Dashain Festival.
I'm guessing that the photographer is his father, Damodar Neupane.
Thanks for sending the photo, Apil!

Interesting 'leaves' (or something!) floating in the Mer Bleu Bog.

October 4 ~ New Bridge

October 1- Clear the Road!

Next door to Tanya's farm, all the fowl had escaped their pens
and were strutting their stuff on the country road!
