Aug. 16 ~ Just Swimmin' in the Rain...

A rainy, cool day in Ottawa did not stop Mat and I from enjoying a Meech Lake swim.
Nancy, thanks for the loan of your wet-suit and for taking the photo.

Aug. 15 ~ More foreworks

These amazing fireworks photos were taken by my friend Anne Sewell,
from the 23 floor at her condo.
She used some interesting features to capture artistic blur.
I love the middle shot with the Parliament buildings being dwarfed  by the lights!

A patio awaits its lunch time business. But not for me - I was headed back to the pool!

Aug. 8 ~ Vieux Montreal

There was time for a few minutes of tourism in The Old Port area of Montreal.
What could be better than a 'bicycle watering tank'!

Aug. 7 ~ Montreal ...

Team mates Alan, Barb, Peg and William.
William is waiting for his 50 m breast stroke to start, and we are there to cheer!
Alan traded his new team shirt for a Turkish one, and I traded for an Australian one!

Aug. 6 ~ Montreal

Team mates Jill and Luke, getting ready for their events.
Notice our fabulous new team t-shirts!

Aug. 5 - Montreal ...

This is a 50 m  'temporory' pool, erected just for the event.
Same biodome in the background.

Aug. 4 - Montreal ...

Alan captured the start of my 50 breast stroke race on his cell phone.
That's me in the blue-purple suit, with a high dive.

Aug. 3 - Montreal for World Masters' Swimming Championships

The event was held on Isle St Helene, in the St Laurent River.
Here the warm-up pool was used by 6,000 swimmers from all over the world!
There's a familiar back-drop to the pools!
